What leadership means here
Leadership is about helping the organization stay active, accessible, and sustainable.
This page focuses on two leadership roles people may apply for directly: Community Coordinator and Board Member. Both roles involve real responsibility, but they operate at different levels.

Organization-wide leadershipBoard Member

Local leadership role
Community Coordinator
Community Coordinators are the lead volunteers responsible for helping MNeurodivergent maintain an active, welcoming, and visible presence in a specific region of Minnesota. This role focuses on building sustainable local community through recurring events, outreach, volunteer support, communication, and relationship-building.
Community Coordinators help create spaces where neurodivergent adults can consistently find connection, familiarity, and belonging. In many regions, they are one of the primary people helping transform a small gathering into an ongoing community that people can rely on over time.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines event coordination, volunteer mentorship, outreach, problem-solving, and communication. Some communities may initially require more direct organizing work, while more established regions may involve greater focus on delegation, team support, and long-term sustainability.
